{"id":32,"date":"2009-06-30T18:18:20","date_gmt":"2009-06-30T14:18:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/avpsoft.ru\/blog\/?p=32"},"modified":"2017-02-15T13:37:50","modified_gmt":"2017-02-15T13:37:50","slug":"save-apbackup-confi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/avpsoft.com\/blog\/2009\/06\/30\/save-apbackup-confi\/","title":{"rendered":"How to back up APBackup settings?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Today, we will look at the process of backing up the program settings of <a href=\"\/products\/apbackup\/\">APBackup<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The program saves settings in two files:<br \/>\n<!--more--><br \/>\n<code><br \/>\narhatsks.bpd \u2013 contains task settings<br \/>\nAPBackup.ini \u2013 contains the parameters configured in the \"Main Options\" menu<br \/>\n<\/code><\/p>\n<p>To move <a href=\"\/products\/apbackup\/\">APBackup<\/a> to another computer or restore the program, you will need the program distributive of any version and these two files.<\/p>\n<p>Up to version 3.5, <a href=\"\/products\/apbackup\/\">APBackup<\/a> saved configuration files to the program installation folder. By default, this is <strong>C:&#92;Program files&#92;apbackup<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Starting from version 3.5, APBackup saves data to the same files, but in the common \u201cAll Users\u201d folder:<br \/>\n<code><br \/>\nC:&#92;Document and settings&#92;All users&#92;Application data&#92;APBackup <\/code><\/p>\n<p>To start the program \u201cthe old way\u201d (using the settings from the APBackup installation folder), start the program with the following parameter<\/p>\n<p><code>APBackup.exe localcfg<\/code><\/p>\n<p>In this case, you will also need to add a parameter to the program\u2019s registry key:<\/p>\n<p>    <code>HKLM&#92;SYSTEM&#92;CurrentControlSet&#92;Services&#92;APBackup_starter&#92;Parameters<br \/>\n    AppParameters=\"service localcfg\"<\/code><\/p>\n<p>You can create an <a href=\"\/products\/apbackup\/\">APBackup<\/a> task that will back up its own configuration files.
