Hello Universal Desktop Ruler icon is in the system tray after startup. Does this icon appear there (the bottom-right corner of the screen)? Check taskbar settings it is possible that taskbar hide UDR icon after it starts. Could you send a screenshot of your computer desktop after the program starts...

SSL certificate is installed on the FTP server side. In APBackup you select only what connection to use (explicit/implicit).

Do you use Proxy server? Also check if your antvirus doesn't block APBackup.exe to access to the net.

A free utility Save2ftp doesn't support Vista.
You can try APBackup it supports Vista and Win7.

Try to clear "Copy NTFS access rigths" on the APBackup task "Source" panel.
Also if APBackup is started as a Service check a service user account configuration.

Usually the reason is a firewall between your host and FTP server. Try to use PASSIVE mode in Save2ftp.

Hello

This is default action if error occurs. See log file if there was error during the last backup. You can configure the task to another behaviour in this case (see "Schedule-Advanced" panel):
- Postpone the task according to the schedule
- Repeat in X minutes.

In this case you can configure the task with Incremental mode. Create the task and for first start select "Full backup" mode to create first full backup copy. Then change mode to incremental in this task and from this point the task will copy only new and changed files into destination arc...
