I made some test.. and decided ton install it.. works GREAT..
sometimes.. i have this message.. but not very often :

Save2FTP NOTIFICATION:06.01.2006 14:25:24:[1002][E] Unexpected error. Either source or archive folders are invalid[Unable to copy file to FTP: "xxx.xxx.xxx" [Connection Closed Gracefully.]]

folder names are ok (no space or %... ) As i'm backuping a web server.. it seems it has problem when files are in use by another process.. (log files or other..) anyway.. most of the time it's ok. makes the backup, sends me a mail.. really cool !

I'm just a bit lost with the "depth" thing.. do I have to use it only when I use prefix and so on ?
I just want to keep latest modified file (so i set "ON" the two archive checkbox) and so..? what should I do with "depth" ? if I don't use prefix, I just dont care.. right ?

Great work

Best regard

This error perharps means you have firewall between your computer and FTP server. Try to yse passive mode and also read this topic (especially articles from it) http://avpsoft.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=66

Depth means how many newest archives are saved (older will be deleted) if you don't use Date format and always save archive to one folder you it is not necessary.

error still showing.. :(

thanks for your reply.
ok for the depth thing..

but.. i'm still getting that error :
Save2FTP NOTIFICATION:06.01.2006 14:25:24:[1002][E] Unexpected error. Either source or archive folders are invalid[Unable to copy file to FTP: "xxx.xxx.xxx" [Connection Closed Gracefully.]]

so i made some tests.

i tried passive mode : same problem
it seems to occurs when i try to backup lots of files.
I tried to make a backup to another ftp and it worked. I tried to simply use a ftp client to transfer a long queue a file to the ftp that's having problem, and it worked.. so i'm a bit loss.

when I ty to backup 2 or 3 folders (containing about 250 or 300 files..) it's ok. but when I try to backup let's say about 2500 or 3000 files.. then i got the error. (even in passiv mode.) when i'm connected via filezilla to send about 3000 files.. (to the same ftp) i got no error.. i can't figure out where's the problem.

making a big zip and backuping it is not a solution for me.

and i've got another question  If I schedule 4 or 5 tasks at the same hour.. what happens ? are the tasks simply processed one after the other ? or could this be a source of problem ?

thank for your help
