Questions

I have a couple questions:

1. Has the sync feature been added yet where files are deleted from the archive when they are deleted from the source? An earlier post said it was planned. If not, it would be really nice to have...

2. What is the difference between "Refreshing" and "Updating" when the archive already exists?

Thanks for the help.

1. Yes, ApBackup 3.0 has a sync feature.
2. Refresh = compress only new versions of files already exist in zip archive.
Update = refresh+ add new files.

Thanks for th response.

Now, the question is how does one use the sync process? I haven't found something that explicitly mentions that in the program or documentation.

Open the task configuration window.
The "Main option" panel->"If destination archive with the same name already exists"->Synchronize.

This feature works only for "Copy files" and "Upload to FTP" backup modes.
