Socket Error # 0

When attempting to backup to FTP using Save2FTP I get the following error messages:
[E] Unexpected error. Either source or archive folders are invalid[Unable to copy file to FTP: "xx.xxx.xxx.x"[Socket Error #0]]
[E] Unable to copy file to FTP: "xx.xxx.xxx.x" [Socket Error # 0]
The error will occur at any time. It has occurred as late as 7 minutes into the transfer and as early as a few seconds into the transfer. It will create a folder in my FTP directory of 162 kB in size.
The files to be backed up reside on a computer running XPHomeSP2, while my FTP server is on a computer running XPProSP2. The outgoing ISP is charter.net, while my incoming ISP is myeastern.com.
Any suggestions on how I should fix this?
Sincerely,
John
