Uninstallation of the Trial Product

I uninstalled the trial product via control panel, add/remove software, after determining this software is not compatible with my backup device. Then, I restarted the computer.
Upon reboot, AP software still loads, and "help" is not selectable.
Is there another way to deinstall this product other than simply doing a search for all related files and deleting them?
I'm running WinXP Pro.
