Connection reset by peer

Postby moody » 07 Nov 2007, 08:29

Hi,

I have a problem with both, AP Backup and Save2FTP because they both do the same thing. I would set a task to upload a 200mb file to my ftp server over the internet. Then after some time, it would stop and give an error.

Now when it stops is always random, sometimes it would stop after sending 30mb or 60mb or 80mb of the file. But it never completes and just stops. This happens to both, AP Backup and Save2ftp. They used to work before but the server crashed and my hosting company redid the servers and now it doesn’t work anymore. But the hosting company says nothing is wrong on their end.

Regular FTP works just fine and I can upload these large files using an ftp program. But when I use AP Backup or Save2ftp, they each give that error. It’s weird because it obviously connects and starts sending the file and just stops like 40% through. I’ve also tried passive mode and still the same error.

I have included the log and error for both programs.

Obviously you have a firewall in the way.
Try to examine this article:
http://www.ncftp.com/ncftpd/doc/misc/ft ... walls.html
Also try to archive all files to one ZIP file and then transfer it ti FTP server.
