I used AP Backup version v2.8.2160 to archive the following using the internal archiver: APBACKUP NOTIFICATION:12/15/2009 3:09:47 PM:[1010][I] The Task finished ( 32527 files was added) (R:\21435data\Server\Data\Backup_20091215_13-24.zip 16206Mb 12/15/2009 3:09:48 PM)
What zip program can I use to extract these files? I have tried 7-Zip 9.09 beta (64 bit version) which tells me that it can not be opened.
I read about a ZIP64 format that AP Backup uses with data 2GB and larger, which my data zipped is 15GB. That is why I tried the 7-Zip program listed above.
Thanks in advance!

Re: 15GB Zip Archive Using AP Backup Archiver
Hello
Try to use 7Zip 4.65 or WinZip (trial version) to test this archive.
Also APBackup 3.6 is available and you can upgrade it.

Re: 15GB Zip Archive Using AP Backup Archiver
I have tried the 7ZIP 4.65 in the 32 bit plat form which also failed. Have not tried the WinZip platform as of yet.
Would it be better to use 7ZIP as the external archiver instead of APBAckups built in archive function?
If I upgrade to APBackup 3.6 will I have a better result with this function? Has there been functional improvements to archiving data in this version?

Re: 15GB Zip Archive Using AP Backup Archiver
Hello
Yes APBackup 3.X has a new Zip archiver version. Also it has ZIP checking feature after backup so after backup APBackup checks ZIP file and if it is corrupted the task stops with error message in a log. (Backup->Advanced->Check ZIP after backup). Also make sure your drive R: has NTFS file system.

Re: 15GB Zip Archive Using AP Backup Archiver
I see that this directory is marked as "Read Only" in Windows. I tried changing this, but the changes would not "stick" and the directory always returns to Read Only mode.
