APBackup with Windows 8

Is APBackup compatible with Windows 8 (64bit)?

I installed the latest version and although it appears to run fine, it does not accept my registration number.

Hello

The latest version doesn't accept your registration code since it was issued in 2009. You need to renew your license key to use it with the latest APBackup version:

I just renewed my registration and it still doesn't work in Windows 8.

After entering the registration code and pressing continue, it returns back to the enter registration code dialog box.

I also tried running the program in Windows 7 compatibility mode and received the same results.

I see that this directory is marked as "Read Only" in Windows. I tried changing this, but the changes would not "stick" and the directory always returns to Read Only mode.
