APBackUP on a Windows 10 Laptopo.
When I try to edit any task, I get the error message "External Exception C0000006". What does this indicate, and how do I cure it?

Re: Error Message - File not found
Many thanks for your quick reply. Problem solved – Operator error, or mis-understanding. I was specifying a non-existent drive (D:) for the Destination. The ampersand is not a problem. I have both Windows Vista and Ubuntu (Linux) installed on the “C” drive on my laptop computer. I am transitioning f...

Re: "Unable to write ArhTasks.bpd file
I have now got my APBackup working again, by doing the following: - I changed my D:/Programs/APBackup folder to APBackupOld, and then uninstalled APBackup version 3.8.5983, listed in Windows Vista/Control Panel/Programs and Features/Uninstall or change a program. I deleted the C:/ProgramData/APBacku...

Re: "Unable to write ArhTasks.bpd file
My C: drive has 15.5GB of free space, and I can save files to it. For example, I have just saved an OpenOffice text file to it.
What can I try next?

Blocked by anti-virus programs
I have been using APBackup for several years. I have an email dated 02 October 2013 containing my license key. I think I updated my APBackup on that date. Today AVG has removed the .exe file to its vault, as a threat to my computer, and will not restore it. I do not have a stored copy of the program...

Task will not start automatically on computer start-up.
I am using ApBackup v3.0.3247 on WinXP. I keep all my data on a 4GB USB Pen Drive, opening files from and saving files to, that drive. I use ApBackup to automatically backup the pen drive to a directory on my hard drive, on source file change. In ApBackup, the Main Options window is set to: - “The t...

Many Thanks - Problem solved. As you summised, I had neglected to change the default action for a fault, so whenever I did not insert my USB pen drive back-up memory, a fault occured, and APBackUp shut down each time it tried to copy a file. I have now changed the action on finding an error to retry...

Task becoming in-active for no apparent reason
I am using ApBackup v3.0.3247 on WinXP. I only have one Task, and in the Main Options window I have ticked the “The task is Active” box. (“Backup Mode” is set to “Copy Files”, and “Kind of Backup” is “Full Backup”) The task runs properly for some hours, but then, for no apparent reason, in the list ...
